Waynesburg First Church of the Nazarene

We are a church that strives to be a family for all who attend.  We believe that faith is not about finding 'religion' but about forming a relationship with Jesus.  We seek after holiness - to be Christlike.  We are young and old, brand new believers and mature Christians...and we are all on the same journey together.  Our church is over 75 years old, but we are always willing to try new things.  Are you looking for a place where you will be accepted and welcomed? We would love to have you give this 'family' a try!

We have reopened!

On Sundays,  We gather from 10:45 am - 12:00 pm in the sanctuary. Our nursery care and Children's church have resumed as well.

If you're uncomfortable returning just yet there is no need to feel guilty about staying home. If you're homebound, let us know how we can help and know that our services are "streamed" on our website, our Facebook account, and on our YouTube account every Sunday.

Also on Sundays, our adult and youth Sunday school classes will gather from 9:45 am – 10:30 am. Our Harvesters class will meet in the gym, our Legacy Builders class will meet in the sanctuary, our Heaven’s Helpers class will meet in the pavilion, our "Young" Adults class will gather in room 202, and our Jr./Sr. high classes will gather in the Teen Lounge.

To note, our Children's Sunday school classes will resume in the children's center on July 12th.

On Wednesdays, our children, youth, and adult small groups will gather from 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm. Our children will gather in the children's center, our youth will gather in the teen lounge, our prayer group will gather in the sanctuary, and our Ladies Bible study will gather in the gym.

Social Distancing Protocols

  • If you have been exposed to someone who has tested positive and/or you’re experiencing symptoms of the virus or the general flu (fever, cough, congestion, body aches, sore throat, etc.), we ask that you follow the recommendation of the Center for Disease Control and stay home until your symptoms have subsided and/or you have been tested.
  • We have increased our regular and through cleaning routine, focusing on touchpoints like door handles, railings, and light switches.
  • Hand Sanitizer will be available at each entry/exit. Please use hand sanitizer as you come in the building and as you leave the building.
  • We ask that you wear a mask to church until further notice. If you do not have a mask, we will have masks available at each entry.
  • We will prop open doors (where we can) so you don’t have to touch handles.
  • We will not pass the offering plates. There will be donation receptacles located at the entrance/exit to the sanctuary. We also encourage you to consider giving your offering online.
  • We ask that everyone entering the church follow a “no contact” policy. Please do not shake hands, hug, or touch others – smiles and conversations are welcome and encouraged.
  • Please strive to keep six feet of distance between yourself and non-family members in Sunday school classes, service, and during conversation.
  • Due to our need to spread out, we sectioned off every other pew. Please be understanding if your favorite pew is sectioned off.
